Summary
The step into conservation course is a non regulated course that is designed to give learners an insight into the landbased industry and offers them a glimpse at estate management, livestock husbandry, small animal care and habitat and wildlife management. In addition, their is a strong focus on developing soft skills through integrated teamwork units, and also formal qualifications included as the students study functional skills (English and maths) and a Certificate in Science. Upon completion, learners should be ready to progress onto an entry level or level 1 course in our landbased and animal care offerings.

Assessment
No formal assessments although formative assessment of development takes place throughout the academic year.
Progression
Progression onto our level 1 provision in either land based or animal care courses.
Fees
If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over please contact the Advice Shop
