Summary
You will develop conservation and ecological skills and explore opportunities within a diverse range of voluntary, governmental and environmental organisations. Estate visits are made to sites managed by organisations such as the National Trust, Broads Authority, Natural England and Wildlife Trusts. This will allow you to build practical skills, ecological principles, species identification skills and more.

Entry Requirements
Achieve 4 GCSE's at grade 4 or above, including English Language and maths.
Assessment
You will be assessed during classroom sessions and when undertaking practical activities. Exams can be sat in spring and summer, Synoptic assessment in the Spring within the awarding body's designated window. Practical observations, unit assignments, individual projects and short tests and quizzes will keep you on track.
Progression
Successful completion of this course at Merit will allow you to progress on to the Extended Diploma, 1 year duration. You may then wish to progress on to a degree level course or Apprenticeship in a related subject. Alternatively you may gain employment in the industry

Wildlife Ranger, Warden, Gamekeeper, Pest Control.
Fees
If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over please contact the Advice Shop
