What You Will Study
The Animal Rescue Course equips those who work in the public service or who deal with handling/rescuing animals in emergencies. The course is hands-on and adaptable to real-life farm scenarios.
Sheep Handling:
Techniques for handling and moving sheep.
Addressing myths and misconceptions.
Planning sheep rounding and penning.
PPE requirements.
Cattle Handling:
Understanding cattle life cycles and breeds.
Techniques for confined spaces.
Moving cattle and singling out cows.
PPE requirements.
Equine Handling:
Putting on and taking off bridles and saddles.
Leading and loading horses.
Rescuing horses from walkers.
PPE requirements.
Entry Requirements
Work in a public service or similar role.
