What You Will Study
This course is perfect if you are wanting to enter the world of floristry to learn about arranging flowers for the home, church or considering a change of career. The course is designed for complete beginners but also if you would like to brush up your floristry skills. Over the six weeks you will learn how to care and condition fresh materials and create designs including a hand tie bouquet, wired buttonholes /corsages, also designs in a basket, modern style and seasonal, using a variety of fresh materials all supplied within the cost of the course. Come and learn new skills in a relaxed friendly environment, taught by a professional tutor sharing tips and tricks of the floristry trade. Each week you will get to take home your beautiful creations!
Week one - Learn how to create packaged and hand tied bouquets
Week two - Corsages/buttonholes
Week three - Modern design and arrangement
Week four - Basket design
Week five - Spring landscape design
Week six - Flower meadow bouquets and designs
Please note the course content may differ slightly depending on the time of year the course runs, group abilities and resource of different flowers/organic materials.
You will need to bring floristry scissors with you.
