Summary
Kickstart your career in canine care with our Level 2 Certificate of Dog Grooming, a highly respected City & Guilds qualification. The course is taught over 34 weeks, following the academic calendar year and offers a flexible one day a week schedule that perfectly suits those looking to enter the dog grooming industry.
It is designed for complete beginners and has no formal entry requirements, just a passion for dogs! The hands on program will equip you with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to excel in the world of dog grooming.
At Easton College we offer you a professional salon environment equipped with the latest grooming tools and are taught by experienced and professional staff who are dedicated to your success.
We have courses on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Times 9-4pm.
Please note that you are expected to purchase the following, a selection of comb attachments and blades ( where we have a deal direct with the supplier for approximately £130.00). In addition to this you will be expected to purchase independently for scissors (approximately £25.00).
Entry Requirements
Open to students aged 19 and over. No specific prior qualifications, learning or experience is required for you to undertake this qualification. However, due to the nature of both the learning and assessment required for the qualification is such that you will need to demonstrate good literacy skills.
All candidates will be given an English assessment if you have not already achieved a GCSE English grade 4-9 (A-C)or Functional Skills Level 2.
Please note that, should you require further study in English, Maths or Digital Skills, these sessions will be offered at both Paston College in North Walsham and in City College Norwich.
Progression
On successful completion of this course you can progress on to the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming. Alternatively you may seek employment as an assistant dog groomer.
