What You Will Study
This is a one day course and is an introduction to dog grooming. It will cover the basics of dog grooming and would be a good stepping stone to the L2 and L3 Dog Grooming Courses.
On this course you will cover the following;
- Different types of coats
- Bathing - what products you use, why you use them and what techniques are used
- Drying and brushing techniques
- Nails and clipping
- Hygienic cleaning - the importance of anal gland expression, ear cleaning and teeth cleaning
- Introduction to grooming equipment
Training will be in our professional dog grooming salon
You will bring your dog along with you, please let us know the breed of your dog upon booking.
Entry Requirements
You will need to bring your own dog. Must be 18+ years old.
Course Progression
You can progress to study our Level 2 and then Level 3 Dog Grooming courses to develop your skills and qualifications
