Job Description
We have an opening on our family run free range egg producing farm.
The role includes typical day to day collection and sorting of eggs, this is mostly done by machine but needs monitoring.
Frequent walking through the birds and picking up eggs laid on the floor.
Checks of water and feed automation.
Working as part of a small team.
Typical work day is 8 am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend work would be available and might be required infrequently. Seeking external work in the afternoons is perfectly fine, so long as its not in poultry.
Mechanical knowledge and practicality would be advantageous but not essential.
This job would suite an eager young person looking for a start in food production. We are looking for some one diligent, observant, punctual and responsible. We offer a reward incentive and promotion possibilities.
Opportunities to gain qualifications such as telehander licences will be provided to the right person.
Own transport is required but we can help with this to begin with if its a problem.
Salary
The hourly rate would be subjected to the experience of the applicant.
Salary option would be available after a probationary period.
